Every time you request a ride with Fare, a Temporary Authorization is placed on your default card to ensure that there are enough funds available to complete the ride.
Why do I see a charge from Fare, "RFND IF NO FARE TAKEN PHOENIX"?
You may see "RFND IF NO FARE TAKEN PHOENIX" on your bank statement. This is the Temporary Authorization, which will be released once the ride has expired or is completed.
Why do I see a charge, when I did not complete a ride?
If you requested a ride and did not complete it, you may see a Temporary Authorization on your account (RFND IF NO FARE TAKEN PHOENIX).
Why am I seeing multiple charges for one trip?
We issue a Temporary Authorization for the estimated trip cost. Once you complete the ride we capture/charge the actual trip cost. If the actual trip cost is higher or lower then the authorization you may see multiple charges. Rest assured you are not overpaying or paying for multiple rides.
How long will this hold stay on my statement?
This hold is released as soon as the trip is canceled/expired/completed. Once we release the hold, depending on your banking institution, it can process instantly or can take a few days. If this hold has not been released within 7 days of the trip ending, please contact support.
